Features of the TOEIC Bridge® Test

  • The TOEIC Bridge test is a global standard for the assessment of ability to communicate in English for beginning and intermediate learners.
  • Rather than "Pass" or "Fail", the results are expressed as numerical scores for listening and reading and subscores are expressed on a scale of one to three in five categories.
  • The questions are based on communication situations and materials of simpler and more familiar nature than those used in the TOEIC Test.
  • The speed at which the questions are read in the listening test is slower than that in the TOEIC test and is equivalent to the speed which a native English speaker uses when speaking "carefully"

Subscore

Subscore ratings are an indication of how examinees performed with comparison to others. Subscore ratings are reported as 1,2, or 3, with 3 being the highest rating.
