TOEIC RE-DESIGNED APPLIED FROM 01 JULY 2009

Đây là thông báo chính thức đã được công ty IIG Việt Nam công bố vào ngày 1/4/2009. Trong thời gian  từ 1/7/2009 cho đến hết 31/12/2009 cả hai bài thi TOEIC (Classic) và TOEIC mới (Re-designed) sẽ được tổ chức song song và có giá trị như nhau. Để giúp các thí sinh làm quen với bài thi TOEIC mới, IIG Việt Nam sẽ giới thiệu rõ hơn về sự khác biệt giữa hai bài thi TOEIC (Classic) và TOEIC mới (Re-designed).

Nhìn chung, bài thi TOEIC mới vẫn mang các đặc trưng giống bài thi TOEIC với thời gian thi, hình thức tổ chức thi và mức độ khó của đề thi không thay đổi. Thang điểm của bài thi TOEIC mới vẫn giữ nguyên và điểm số của hai bài thi TOEIC và TOEIC mới hoàn toàn tương thích nhau.

Việc đánh giá khả năng ngôn ngữ trong bài thi TOEIC mới được cải tiến bằng hệ thống câu hỏi phản ánh các ngữ cảnh cụ thể trong môi trường làm việc quốc tế hiện đại. Không phải tất cả các câu hỏi đều thay đổi, trong một số tình huống, thí sinh có cơ hội chứng minh khả năng ngôn ngữ của mình bằng cách lựa chọn câu trả lời phù hợp nhất với ngữ cảnh, nói một cách khác, bài thi sẽ đánh giá hiệu quả hơn phản ứng của thí sinh trong ngữ cảnh cụ thể tại nơi làm việc. Đây cũng chính là điểm vượt trội của bài thi TOEIC mới.

Phần Nghe hiểu có 4 sự thay đổi chính:

  • Giảm số câu hỏi hình ảnh trong phần 1
  • Câu hỏi không chỉ được viết mà còn được đọc qua băng casset trong phần 3 (Hội thoại) và phần 4 (Cuộc nói chuyện ngắn)
  • Thay các câu hỏi riêng lẻ bằng nhóm các câu hỏi trong phần 3 (Hội thoại ngắn)
  • Sử dụng giọng đọc tiếng Anh với các ngữ âm khác nhau, như: Anh - Mỹ, Anh – Anh, Anh – Canada và Anh - Úc. Những ngữ âm này xuất hiện không đáng kể nhưng chúng phản ánh những kiểu giọng tiếng Anh khác nhau đã được đào tạo và sử dụng trong môi trường làm việc quốc tế. Với những thay đổi này,  giá trị của TOEIC ngày càng được củng cố với vai trò là một Chương trình đánh giá khả năng giao tiếp trong môi trường quốc tế.


Phần Đọc hiểu có 3 sự thay đổi chính:

  • Lược bỏ các câu hỏi của phần 6 (Tìm lỗi trong câu)
  • Thêm loại câu hỏi Hoàn thành đoạn văn (Phần 6)
  • Gộp nhóm câu hỏi đọc hiểu dựa trên 2 đoạn văn có chủ đề liên quan (Phần 7)
